Bek Ohmsford

From The World of Shannara

Bek Ohmsford, also known as Bek Rowe, is a member of the Ohmsford family, and possess' the power of the wishsong. He is the main character in the Voyage of the Jerle Shannara trilogy.

History

Bek spent the first years of his life as a baby raised by his parents and older sister. However, when the Mogwar attacked the Ohmsford home in an attempt to subvert Grianne, she hid him in the basement. He was later found by the shapeshifter Truhls Rock, who took him to the Druid Walker at Paranor. Walker took Bek to the city of Leah and gave him to Coran Leah. He was raised by Coran and his wife, along with Quentin Leah, their other son.

Powers and abilities

Bek began The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara trilogy without many special skills. He was a talented hunter, and knew how to survive, but he didn't have many special talents. He could use the wishsong because of his Ohmsford heritage, but it was fairly weak. His real power came when Walker gave him the Sword of Shannara, which he used to convince his sister that he was really Bek. He was trained to fly airships by the captain Redden Alt Mer.
