Creepers were originally created by Old World technology as a autonomous weapon of war, carrying incredible protection and destructive means.
Some of these machines of war are believed to have survived the holocaust. Built as armored carriages for the men that they carried in protection and offensive combat. Later as the technologies and needs grew, humans were no longer needed and they were controlled from a distance. And finally most likely during the time of the Great Wars, was a version that could fully function by itself, able to carry out commands and complex missions of destruction completely on its own. These machines where build in many different sizes and shapes, able to traverse most any obstacle. Most of them where equipped with awesome means of firepower and destruction, while at the same time being impervious to most forms of attack.
