The Ellcrys is a magical sapient tree created by the fusing of Elven Magic and a living female elf. She was created specifically to trap the Demons into a place known as the Forbidding before the dawn of old race of Man.[1] She is first introduced in The Elfstones of Shannara playing a significant focus, as well as in the Genesis of Shannara. She is mentioned in much minor roles the High Druid of Shannara and The Heritage of Shannara series.
Description
the Ellcrys is described as:
