Description
At the very beginning of the novel Findo is described through the eyes of Nest Freemark as follows:
| “ | The old man who stood waiting was dressed all in black. He was wearing what in other times would have been called a frock coat, which was double-breasted with wide lapels and hung to his knees. A flat-brimmed hat sat firmly in place over wisps of white hair that stuck out from underneath as if trying to escape. His face was seamed and browned by the wind and sun, and his eyes were a watery gray as they blinked at her. When he smiled, as he was doing, he whole face seemed to join in, creasing cheerfully from forehead to chin. He was taller than Nest by several inches, and he stooped as if to make up for the disparity. | „ |

Being that he was taller by several inches than Nest, that would put his height likely at six feet to six foot two inches, or there abouts.
Findo refers to himself as a "minister of faith and bearer of the holy word."[1] He clearly states that he is a servant of the Void and he embraces the Void's faith.[2]

Findo Gask appears at the very beginning of Angel Fire East at the doorstep of Nest Freemark's home, in Hopewell. He calls himself a minister of faith[1], later to explain that it is faith to the Void that he serves after Nest states that she knows he is a demon.[2] Findo gets to the point very quickly. He states he is looking for John Ross. When Nest says he is not there and will not let Findo into her home, Findo states what it is he wants from Nest then. He speaks very clearly and convincingly that he is more than powerful enough to take care of her if she should get in the way of his most important goal, John Ross. From that place he asks her not to take in and harbor John Ross once he comes to he, which he assures her he will. [3]
