• Allanon: For five hundred years one of the last of the Druids, protector of the Races and historian of the Four Lands.
• Shea Ohmsford: Only half-man, last descendant of Jerle Shannara and heir to the right to use the Sword of Shannara. Hero of the War of the Warlock Lord.
