Timeline for Genesis of Shannara
From The World of Shannara
The Timeline for Genesis of Shannara is a visual representation of the time frame for the events that take place during the trilogy Genesis of Shannara. As such it includes all the events from Armageddon's Children, The Elves of Cintra, and The Gypsy Morph. This is done since though broken into three books it is one continuous story with the same characters. It is a best attempt to piece together the events that happen based on the descriptions of time given by Terry Brooks in the novel. Where ever possible the references to time from the book will be used. In some cases assumptions about time must be made since the author does not provide something more specific. If you discover more information or anything that contradicts what it here, please add it.
Prelude Timeline
The Prelude Timeline lists some of the events that took place prior to the opening of the book. These may or may not be pertinent to the story, but they are listed or can be inferred. Years listed are years before the first event in the main story line. In the series many of these events are described outright, but since they are not actual events of the specific story being told just character developement they are listed here as part of the prelude timeline.

Timeline
This is the timeline tracks the events that are outlined within the books as the story unfolds. Armageddon's Children starts out with four different story lines, that of Logan Tom, that of the Ghosts, that of Angel Perez, and finally that of the Kirisin and the Elves. They will be places side by side here, though a bit confusing, this is done as all the timelines with interweave and cross. So it is believed that this is ultimately the only way they would make sense.

- ^ O'olish Amaneh says that the gypsy morph was born to Nest Freemark in her 30th year (which fits with Angel Fire East). Since it is revealed in Armageddon's Children that she specifically was born in 1983, that would put Hawk's birthday in the fall or early winter in 2013, given that she became pregnant with the gypsy morph on Christmas Day 2012.

- ^ The text reads, 'almost a dozen years' so it is assumed that almost would mean 11 years. Though it is very possible that Delloreen entered service sometime in late 2080.

- ^ Angel says that she had been a Knight of the Word about six years. So it is likely that she started something in the fall or early winter of 2086. Though it is possible that it was the first part of the year in 2087.
- ^ There are two references to when Hawk came to Seattle that do not match up. Both in Armageddon's Children page 18 says he was in Oregon thill he was five and then Seattle, while page 62 says that he found the underground city five years after arriving in Seattle. Page 65 says that Tessa brings Owl to him when he is still new to the city at fourteen years old. So it is being assumed that Hawk came to Seattle five years prior and was in Oregon up till that point, (if his memory is accurate in that regard or just one given to him by the King of the Silver River.

- ^ O'olish Amaneh says that the gypsy morph is nearly 80 years old. So it is assumed that he is 79 years old. Thus 2092 from a birth year of 2013.

- ^ No specific references to time of day are given for Angel journey, though in the book it is placed after adventures of Hawk and Logan ending in the night time, so it is likely that that is when it takes place. However lighting of any kind is never mentioned so it is just as possible that it is during the day. Though likely towards the later half as the Coliseum Compound was attacked the night before.

- ^ It is being assumed that the timing of this event corresponds directly with were it is placed within the manuscript. So even though this is the first event listed with the Elves it therefore would not correspond with day 1, rather day 4.
